It's a WHAT?

So yesterday when we were at Scott and Vickie's they presented Driver with a this....

Scott has this habit of going to the grocery store and buying the "unusual".  He said it's a grapefruit!  But it's green, a very vivid limey green. We each in our own time chorused "Shouldn't it be yellow?"  He bought one for their enjoyment and one for us.  So we cut it open this morning for breakfast and were surprised to see

so much rind.  And Driver being a sport about the whole green grapefruit thing did try it.  He actually ate half of it and reported that it looks like and tastes somewhat like a grapefruit (tho he did add some sugar to the top) and it was juicy.  But there were so many membranes even after cutting the sections it wasn't the most fun to eat.  But it was unique and a real breakfast adventure this morning.  Another Texas adventure! Yeehaw.
