River Walk and the Mexican Marketplace

So different. It seems that each place we visit has something unique and something they call their own. San Antonio's is surely the River Walk. It's so pretty and interesting. Many other folks walking along snapping pictures just as we were today.

Found a Starbucks and enjoyed a wonderful cup of White Chocolate Mocha. She knew just how to make it and it was so yummy! Then we decided we would try out their CD's and listen to a quick song of Nora Jones. How sad is it that we couldn't even figure out how to turn the sound on. We pushed every button available but it was just too embarrassing to ask someone to show us how to use the music options. And we consider ourselves fairly computer literate. Guess we aren't as literate as we thought we were. Tho, to our defense the directions weren't really all that clear on the screen. But it was neat-you could choose the type music you wanted to hear and even make your own CD. Oh well that mocha was worth all $4. who needs music to go with it?

In San Antonio we found an interesting place. Interesting! It had the largest display evah of antlers. Yep!. Most were still on animals too. Can't say that any of you would really enjoy it but we did have a bite to eat while we were there. I closed my eyes to the eyes on the walls looking at me. This Buckhorn Restaurant even had an elephant head, zebra and bear (no antlers there). Don't know if you can actually make out the results of this picture-but it had the neatest oldest bar I've ever seen. It truly looked like Gunsmoke had been filmed right there in that spot.

Oh, well trust me there were many antlers!Perhaps I should have done some Photoshop on this one.

When we left there we asked directions to the Market Place. About .8 mile from here and around this block and down 4 more blocks to ????? place. Near the Santa Rosa Hospital. The street names are Spanish so who can tell if you're there or not. We tried. We walked to where we guessed she pointed.

Thank goodness for this little item that we carry with us all the time.

Well, maybe we are somewhat "with it" to be able to punch stuff in to the trusty Garmin. It has been such a help on this trip. We found the Marketplace. It, too was very neat. So many different shops selling so many different things from Mexico. Very colorful displays of the Mexican crafts and goods.

Now tomorrow we will leave here and head up to Dallas area and see our Seiter relatives up there. Anxious to see them-it's been a long time. Then I think we will begin the trek to O -H - I - O. Missing you all very much and I am hoping that we will make it home for Easter. Let's hope the weather remains the way that it is today we won't have to re-winterize this camper.
