Much cleaner and more organized now. Even has painted the walls and flooring in the factory part. A more pleasant place to work now. I'm guessing th
o that the paint on the walls and floor would not help the workers in the blistering summer heat that Houston gets. But it was quite pleasant in there today. Doors were open and a nice breeze blowing thru-I thought it was going to blow over the tree that someone had put up in the wiring area of the factory.
The things that amazed me the most was the Big Ass Fans that he had purchased for the newest area of his factory. He has three of these in the metal building and one blade alone is about 12 ft. long. My picture does not do them justice. They were huge. And Scott said the employees love them. I can imagine how much air these things move. And Big Ass Fan is the name that was actually on the fan. I thought it was Scott's description of the fans; but nope, it's the real name of the really big fans. It doesn't look that big here, does it? There are three of these BAFs in this one building.
are these racks that move about on wheels. They work as giant (understatement re: the size) extension cords. Plug in the huge cord on one end, move the piece whereever you want more electric and plug into one of the outlets on either side. And he had about 40 of these things ($1,500,000 worth) waiting to be picked up and delivered to some place in Indiana.
Here are a few more shots of various plant parts:
There are actually three or four buildings that he has. He recently acquired (not his choice) other plants' inventory of machinery (the good and the bad) and had to find ways to make room for them to work in his facility. He takes great pride in what he is doing and enjoys the challenge most days.
Driver wanted me to get a picture of this poster that was hanging in the Human Resource managers office. We met her and she is a sweet lady who really likes Scott alot. Says that he is so nice to work for/with. I told her that he is only on loan and that we want him back. And the sooner the better.
