The smoker chef was smokin!

So tasty, so moist, so delicious. We each had samples of ribs, chicken, sausage, pork and a smoked baked potato. Of course the potato had to have sour cream, green onions, cheese, butter and Scott says that the pulled pork is awesome on a tater. Didn't do that, but the food was really, really good. Megan's favorite remains the potato.
Don't the ribs look like they could be a smoking gourmet award winner? They tasted just as good as they look, too. The smell of smoked meat permeated the whole area. A tasty bit of delish.

Today we took a ride up to Lake Livingston which is about 50 miles north of here. Nice day of travel, tho still raining. We saw several interesting things= here is one that I thought quite interesting: read the sign. This is a private boat ramp for members only it's too bad they can't afford spell check. I so bad wanted to get out and circle the word and spell it correctly, but I didn't. It was wet and rainy!

Then we found this- Porkchops Icehouse in Point Blank, TX pop. 559. I love it. The icehouse was quite nice a beautiful large deck on the left side of the building, to the right of the building was a place to park approximately 10 RVs. And it's all for sale! Apparently when this was being completed three years ago one of the owners was putting up the Porkchops sign on the building (it's high) the ladder collapsed and he fell. Since that time he has been paralyzed. So, they want to sell this property now and move on with their lives. Sad story. But a beautiful piece of land and property. They've put alot in to it. But lost even more.
