As of today which is still 5 days from take off driver has loaded the freezer, some of his clothes, his shoes, his HD (that's Harley Davidson for those of you who are not savvy to motorcycle jargon) jacket, his scooter, and the extra bag of dog food. I think he is anxious as I am; but I still need to get through these next 5 days. He has checked every possible mapping progam, checked each campsite between here and our destination, oiled and greased everything that requires such on the fifth wheel and the truck; checked and re-checked the truck safety gizmos; and most importantly given directions as to not buy anything else for the refrigerator in the house (don't want to take too much as our refrig in the camper is smaller).
Driver has also been actively involved in mouse patrol in the camper. We had HAD a very hungry and busy mouse since we've brought the camper up in the driveway. Been chewing up dishtowels and leaving little black calling cards in my drawers, has helped him/herself to my kleenex and left a mess in that box....so we served D-con. He/she enjoyed the whole thing so a second course was served and it devoured most of that one! So far we haven't found any more signs of hunger or intestinal relief from this mouse in our wheel house. whew.
