Another rainy day in Texas

Has rained all day up until 3:00.  Fortunately it was a lovely day for the horse show on Sunday.  Unfortunately we missed nearly all of Megan's classes.  The first classes of the day were cancelled and so that moved her class up about 3-4 hours.  So, needless to say we pretty much missed it.  We got there as she was doing the "flat" class.  Never heard of it before but it reminded me of the regular western pleasure classes-"walk your horses", "trot your horses", "canter", "reverse.......",  you get the drift.  We did learn that she got the blue ribbon in jumping.  So stinking mad that we missed that, but glad that she did so well on Spencer.  This was Spencer's first win in jumping.  They did well in the other classes that followed as apparent by the ribbons she's wearing.  Miss Joy, instructor, was very pleased as this was a really big show. really big

Since we were summoned at the last minute and had to rush out of here, Rocky was forced to go with us to the horse show.  He had never been around so many horses.  The only time he'd been near a horse was when he got the shock at the neighbors fence.  So he was a bit cautious for a brief moment.  Spencer wanted to do his own investigating and nosed him a bit.  Rocky was non enthused.  Surprised aren't ya?

Funny but apparently once the girls get their shows over with and are free to be-they walk the horses much like we walk our dogs.  So we walked over to the truck to check on the dog and the dad and Spencer came along and again stuck his nose up at Rocky.

Apparently Spencer hadn't seen such a short, stocky horse before and especially one that would ride in the back seat of a vehicle.  We had a good time at the event even tho we missed the star attraction. 

Dustin is taking Drew to the airport at 3 today.  Sure hope that Drew's flight is less bumpy than his flight down here. But on the up side of his flight here; we think he may have been sitting next to Mr. Honeybee himself, Blake Shelton, but Drew didn't quiz him.  So we will never know for certain. I think he's had a real good time with Dustin and they have gone for ice cream every afternoon since he came down.  I know that is because of Drew's ice cream habit.  We went to a local sports bar last night and had wings and beverages and asked the waitress to take our picture. For some reason this wonderful camera on Driver's phone was not so wonderful as the pictures all turned out fuzzy and dark.
