Our last Sunday in Rockport

We got moving real early this morning and decided to make good use of the windfree day. So we went down to the piers and threw some buns at the seagulls. It was fun to watch them fight over every single piece. Rocky also enjoyed snarfing down the last half of the last bun. So much for feeding the seagulls and the dog on a diet.

We also investigated even more campgrounds further down the coastline. Seems like every time we find a new campground we want to drive through it. And there are so many campgrounds down here, too. We found a unique one that was on an abandoned airstrip. It was rather stark in comparison to the ones we've found in Rockport but it was interesting none the less. It had a very nice park area with miles (maybe not quite that much) of wooden boardwalk.

We stopped and had a huge burger at Floyd's Ranch House in Aransas Pass and ran in to our neighbors that just moved out of Double D yesterday and into a park closer to the beach. It really is a small world when you think of all the restaurants in the area and all the people that were eating lunch when we were. BTW, have I mentioned that we are in the same campground as Dave Hall's aunt and uncle, Jenny and Richard? Such nice folks and they walk by daily and always stop to chat and have invited us to their place. Nice folks.

That's probably it for today. Tomorrow I will do some last minute shopping in stores that I haven't been in yet. Must see them all you know! I wouldn't want to miss a great buy. Hope that your day is sunny. One more picture of some flowers that just popped up in the grass at this park we found today. Such a nice little surprise....
