Today it's a given.....do you see the sun shining on the Mountaineer? Do you see the dog laying in the sun on the concrete pad? Do you see the green green grass? Do you hear the birds chirping? Ok, so you don't hear that, but do you see snow blowing? Do you see snow piles? Do you see us stuck in our driveway?
EXACTLY!
Finally we have hit paydirt here and the sun is out and it's warming up. So much preferred to this:
I actually feel guilty for being down here when folks up north are so tired of the snow and the cold weather. It hasn't been the best winters down here either, but it is much better now than it has been. It is amazing what the sunshine can do for us. In looking at the thermometer that is outside our door it says 99.4. Now that is in the sun so the temp may be just a bit exaggerated but it is nice when the sun shines and gives us a reading like that. Even if it is bogus.
George and Bev came in yesterday afternoon and we are excited to have them as camping neighbors for a week. We took them to Zio's for late lunch early supper. Had another great meal there as we always do. And they have enough of their meals left for dinner/lunch today. The servings from there are horrendously large. The bowl of spaghetti and meatballs that they served to George and driver was enough for at least 4 regular size servings. I should have taken a picture of the bowls, but thought perhaps you've seen enough food pictures. So, instead I show you sun and snow.
Hope you are all able to plow out of the snow if you are one of those in the snowbelt. And, I'm headed outside to enjoy a bottle of water in the sunshine.
